As you may be aware, the Constitution of Constructing Excellence Gloucestershire Club was last updated in May 2006.
To give you some context, notable buildings completed that year included The Emirates Stadium and The Senedd / Welsh Assembly. More locally, Cabot Circus was two years away from opening, and Gloucester Quays was still 3 years off completion. Most importantly, just four days after our Constitution was last changed, Gloucester RUFC won the European Challenge Cup.
A lot has changed!
With that in mind, the Committee has prepared and discussed a revised constitution, which is more reflective of how the Club does (and indeed should) operate in 2017 and the years ahead. You can find the current, and draft proposed constitutions here:
Draft proposed constitution
If you have any comments on the proposed amendments please email the Club Secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
In order to bring the new Constitution into force, members are hereby invited to attend a Special General Meeting of the Club at 8am on Friday 7 April 2017 at Gloucestershire College, Princess Elizabeth Way, Cheltenham.
It is important that the meeting is quorate under the requirements of the current constitution. Please therefore support our modernisation by signing up to attend the meeting.
If you have any questions please contact the Club Secretary.
