As a Director at Bamboo Technology Group, Kevin has a clear understanding of the importance of good communications and IT infrastructure in construction. He has worked with numerous clients and design teams from concept design through to project completion and brings a unique perspective and understanding to each project he works on. His varied roles have given him a wide range of skills which are proving invaluable for his work in the sector.

Jonathan White

Quattro Design Architects

Jonathan, has architectural experience in many sectors covering a variety of projects including Residential, Commercial and Leisure however mainly focusing in Education schemes over recent years. He has developed increased experience in the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and is keen to promote its value to clients and developers. Jonathan is committed to his club involvement by promoting the club and excellence in construction.

Anna Wood

Anna is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Construction and Engineering Team at BPE Solicitors. Having lived in Cheltenham for 30 years and specialised in construction law for nearly a decade, Anna knows the local market extremely well. She is known for helping clients manage risk in projects, particularly in the education, leisure and health are sectors. Her clients and project sites are spread across the whole of England.

Gemma Brindley

Crowe U.K. LLP

Gemma is the Treasurer of Constructing Excellence Gloucester and is a director in Crowe’s corporate tax team and leads the office’s property and construction sector specialism in Cheltenham. Gemma acts for a wide portfolio of clients in all sectors and regularly contributes technical articles to various publications. Gemma advises on capital allowances, tax efficient structures, R&D tax reliefs, patent box and corporate tax compliance.

Quattro Design Architects

Robert is a Director at Quattro Design Architects. He leads on a diverse range of projects in the Education, Residential, Extra Care and Healthcare sectors, but his primary focus is leading Quattro’s Healthcare sector team. His responsibilities range from design concept and design management, to managing the company’s strategic direction with his fellow directors.

Anthony Wheatley

Kier Construction Central

Anthony is Senior Business Development Manager for Kier Construction Central, covering the Gloucester and Oxford offices. As a qualified building professional and former quantity surveyor, Anthony brings a wealth of practical experience to this preconstruction role, bridging the gap that often appears between business development and operations.

Tina Smith

Sanctus Training Limited

Tina is Business Manager for Sanctus Training Limited. Tina has developed the company from a plant training provider to one that now has two training centres and offers a large range of courses. Tina has a wealth of experience in her field and is passionate about customer service and looking after her customers training requirements. Tina enjoys committee work as this enables her to broaden her knowledge and business contacts.

Craig Bloxsome

Craig is a Chartered Construction Manager who has been teaching level 3 and 4 BTEC Construction and the Built Environment courses at Gloucestershire College since 2007. Before discovering teaching, Craig worked as a 'Training Coordinator', a role helping young people achieve Apprenticeships in construction crafts. Craig's interests at work include using technology to enable teaching, learning and assessment, and helping students to achieve to the best of their ability by using productivity techniques.

Steve Long

Retired Chartered Quantity Surveyor

Steve is a retired Chartered Quantity Surveyor and CDM Consultant. He was employed in both the public and private sectors before running his own practice for 17 years before retirement. Steve has been involved with the Constructing Excellence Gloucestershire Club since 2014.

David Carter

EG Carter

David is a Director of E.G.Carter and Co.Ltd and has worked for the family firm for over 30 years. During this time he has fulfilled a number of roles and has a wide understanding of the construction Industry but his main role has been on the purchasing side, overseeing a team responsible for the scheduling and purchasing of all the company’s material and plant hire requirements and through this role has extensive knowledge of Supply Chains, Partnering Agreements, Supplier Evaluation, Performance measurement and Continuous Improvement Techniques.
David is also responsible for the Company’s Joinery Division, Fleet of vehicles, Environmental Policy, IT, Communications and Insurances. He is also a member of the Health and Safety Working Party.
David joined the committee of the Constructing Excellence Gloucester Club in September 2015

Adam Welland

Adam, a Senior Contracts Manager with Barnwood Construction has over 30 year’s experience in the industry having started his career as a site engineer in Birmingham. He went on to work his way through the ranks with several regional contractors. He has been responsible for the delivery of many of Barnwood’s prestigious projects over the last 7 years. These include the recently completed Honeybourne Place in Cheltenham.

Sean Gibbs

Hanscomb Intercontinental

Sean is a Director at Hanscomb Intercontinental the leading provider in Gloucestershire of expert advisory and expert witness services to the UK and International onshore and offshore construction, engineering and shipbuilding industries. Sean’s primary professional qualifications are Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Barrister and he has regularly provided contract, commercial, quantum and delay analysis advice to help avoid disputes or resolve them when they arise over the last thirty years of his career. Sean also sits as arbitrator, adjudicator, expert determiner and dispute board member and has given expert evidence in these forums and litigation. He is actively involved with the Society of Construction Law and is a regional convenor for them.

As founder of TAP Business Development Ltd and being based out of Cheltenham, Mike works with a range of construction sector organisations, including construction firms, property developers, suppliers and professional services within the industry. Mike's consultancy delivers practical marketing and bid management services in this sector, as well as various others, and accordingly he has an abundance of experience to offer the committee, spanning marketing and the construction sector. Passionate about the built environment in Gloucestershire, Mike works with SMEs and PLCs alike and in each instance adopts a 'hands-on', solution driven service with a 'can do' work ethic.
