Post Planning Process: Highways and Transport
The Delivery of Associated Highways and Transport Measures
Thinking and planning beyond obtaining planning permission is critical to the deliverability and viability of a site. Often, following planning permission there will be an obligation for highways work to be undertaken both within the site and on the highway that will require formal legal Agreements with the local highway authority. This will have cost and time implications that will need to be factored into the construction process.
The presentation by CEGlos Club Sponsors Cotswold Transport Planning sets out the different forms of Agreement that are required for work to be undertaken in the highway but also looks at street works notice periods and access works. It will provide guidance to those in the construction industry on how planning requirements can be timely and effectively delivered.
Presenting will be Brendan Quinn and Mike Glaze, who are Directors at Cotswold Transport Planning and have worked in the private and public sector so they will be able to give a perspective from both the applicant and the local highway authority.
